South Elgin: Protest Kelly Miller Circus
Time: September 21, 2017 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Please join local activists and peacefully protest Kelly Miller Circus to educate the people of the South Elgin area about the cruelty behind the bigtop.
Kelly Miller Circus has failed to meet minimum federal standards for the care of animals used in exhibition as established in the Animal Welfare Act (AWA). The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has cited Kelly Miller Circus for failing to handle animals in a manner that is safe for the animals and the public, failing to provide veterinary records, and failing to provide structurally sound enclosures. Kelly Miller Circus has leased animals from other exhibitors, including Carson & Barnes Circus.
Read all about their cruelty here and this is up-to-date!
Please join us opening night, the circus starts at 7:30p but we will be out there protesting an hour early from 6:30p-7:30p.
Posters will be provided but please feel free to make and bring your own!
