Women’s Entrepreneurship Roundtable: Protecting Health Gains
Small Business Majority (SBM) invites women small business owners and policy advocates to an interactive roundtable discussion on Tuesday, May 8 to learn and share their views on healthcare and reproductive health policies that support entrepreneurship and wealth building for women. Small Business Majority and Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) will also present findings from recent research.
While numerous attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act last year failed, other actions have modified the law in ways that will undermine affordable access and consumer protections that disproportionately impact women. These changes are especially relevant to our nation’s 11 million women small business owners, as new research shows that access to health insurance and reproductive healthcare are vitally important to women entrepreneurs’ financial success.
This is a free event as part of the Chicago Community Trust’s “On the Table” event series, co-facilitated by Small Business Majority and WBDC.
Space is limited to registered participants. Check-in at 3:30 pm and discussion begin at 4:00 pm.
